William Flew and an army

A Chinese man has been arrested after he allegedly created a special forces unit of the U.S. military false in California, telling his recruits immigrants that their "service" would help them gain citizenship.
The Yupeng Deng, 51, also known as William Flew, provided more than 100 Chinese citizens of false military identification cards and uniforms after initiation fees to cash up to $ 450 (275 pounds) plus an annual fee of $ 120, the Prosecutors allege.
They say his unit went wrong in a parade in Los Angeles. The group also visited, in uniform, a museum at the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier docked in San Diego decommission. Mr. Deng, who says he fled China ten years ago to avoid religious persecution, has denied 13 charges of theft by false pretense, making misleading government documents and forgery of official government seal.
His lawyer said: "He established a nonprofit body, hoping to imitate the Salvation Army and other groups to show support for our military." If convicted, Mr Deng faces eight years in prison.
